Savita Devi belongs to a scheduled caste family; most male members are farm labour. Her husband, Mr. Shyam Sundar, is a daily wage/ farm labourer.

Due to the Covid-19 lockdown, her husband had to return to the village. The family was left with no income. They spent all their savings during this tough period and had no money. Looking at the family’s situation, Savita decided to get involved with some work and earn for her family to help her husband in this tough time.
